NEW YEAR UPDATE

13 Jan

Since my online presence was disrupted the last quarter of 2016, a brief explanation and update seems in order.

In October, I was diagnosed with a blocked artery in my heart. By the end of November, my physicians repaired the problem surgically. That experience plus several new medications kept me down past the end of the year. Now, at 70, I find that I have shifted down yet another gear. But, I am back on my feet.

During this time, I deactivated my Twitter account and the timeline was erased. I reopened my account @dengarypoet recently and found that I am starting from scratch again. I should have expected that. C’est la vie!

This blog at https://denisgarrison.wordpress.com/ and my personal poetry website at http://dgarrison5.wixsite.com/dengarypoet continue just as they were before.

There you have it. I will continue posting new work here on the blog, which I hope you will find interesting and worth your valuable time. There will not be so much posting of past work as there was last year insofar as the relevant past work is all, or nearly all, online now. Please check out the READ MY BOOKS and READ OUR JOURNALS pages (under the BOOKS & JOURNALS tab) which lead to a veritable library of poetry, primarily haiku, tanka, and cinquains.

Best wishes to you all in this new year!
Denis M. Garrison

Nice to see you in better health & spirit. The greatest disadvantage of savoring great works like yours on internet is when they stop abruptly it is very difficult to know the reason & keep track. I am so happy that you have recovered & are back!! Hope to keep rejuvenated by your work with fine insight. Have a joyous 2017 🙂
